“America Votes”: 2007 Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance Contest

The actual auditions don’t start for a few days but a video contest with the chance to be flown to the L.A. Auditions and possibly be one of the finalist to go to Paris just got started. Below you will find the highlights of the contest for full details and to enter visit the America Votes website. There are already videos uploaded and the deadline to enter is April 10th at 3am est. This is not the same as the actual auditions this is a chance to be in the open casting in L.A.

Update:  The deadline to enter videos has been extended to April 11th at 3am est. 

How to Enter:

• Log on to America Votes click on the link to fill out your profile, upload your video, and join the Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance America Votes community.
• Spread the word to family and friends to visit your profile and post comments on why you should be the next Miss F.A.T. Limit one entry per person and/or IP address.
• Only the first 100 valid submissions will be accepted. Video requirements. All video uploads must meet video requirements in order to be considered a valid entry.
• Videos must be no longer than 5 minutes long
• Videos must be filmed via webcam or DVR – NO Cellphone videos will be accepted.

Winners:

• 10 finalists will be selected from the first 100 valid entries received.
• The ten finalists will be posted on America Votes for America to vote on the winner. The three finalists receiving the most votes will be considered a semi-finalist. If you are selected as one of the three semi-finalists, you will have 48 hours to respond and accept your prize. If you fail to do so within this time period, you will forfeit your prize and it shall be awarded to the runner up.

Prizes:

• Three (3) Grand Prizes: Three semi-finalists will receive a trip to Los Angeles for the final casting on April 28.
• A competition will then be held with the other finalists for a place as one of the 5 contestants in the 2007 Miss F.A.T. Contest.

“Prize includes round trip coach air-fare from major commercial airport nearest winner’s residence to Los Angeles, hotel accommodations, transportation to and from airport and $1500 spending money. Actual value of prize may vary depending on point of departure and airfare fluctuations. Winner MUST be able to travel to Los Angeles on April 27-29, 2007 If chosen as one of the final 5 contestants, winner MUST be able to travel internationally for the final show taping in Paris, France from May 27-June 4, 2007. Winner MUST also have a valid US Passport at this time. (Approximate Retail Value: $4800)”

If the buzz for the 2007 contest is anything like it has been for the last two seasons I expect that this year will be the biggest year of them all.
