How to find boots for wider legs

The weather is getting cooler and though wedge heels are going to continue into the winter its time to break out the boots. Now I know for lots of ladies that trying to find a boot that looks good and fits right with you have a wide leg can be extremely frustrating. There are a few things to keep in mind when trying to find a nice boot for the season armed with these tips you can find a pair of boots that is right for you.

1. Measure your calves at the widest part with a cloth tape measure, making sure there is no space between your leg and the end of the tape.
2. If you normally wear tights or heavy socks with your boots make sure you measure your leg while wearing what you normally wear. This will prevent and uncomfortable fit later.
3. For thicker legs boots that slip on instead of zip up maybe best for you.
4. Boots made of leather will give over time allowing for a looser fit that is still snug on your leg.
5. If the right boot for you costs more than you thought, spending the extra money will help your feet in the long run.

Retailers haven’t put out there entire fall inventory yet so now is a good time to shop online. With the merchants getting ready for the upcoming Christmas season they will have many deals on there websites that they won’t offer in there brick and mortar locations.
