10 names in plus size fashion that you should know

I have had the pleasure of seeing quite a few merchant come online in the last two years. These trailblazers in plus size fashions are filling a much needed void in the area of fashion for people of size. A few of them I have started to build relationships with there people and with time I am sure that I will come across others.It’s getting to the point that off the top of your head you can’t just name the few stores online that carry plus size fashion. The links section of my blog is under reconstruction right now to re-list the known names and to add the names that are new.I’m going to list some names in the world of plus size fashion that if you didn’t already know you should for sure take a look at them.

  1. Draper’s & Damon’s - Inspired women’s fashion that dresses you beautifully for life’s every occasion.
  2. Fashion To Figure - Run by the great grandsons of the founder of Lane Bryant offer very affordable fashions for ladies size 14-26.
  3. IGIGI - The brain child of fashion designer Yuliya Zeltser. IGIGI offers trendy stylish clothing for plus sizes.
  4. Ki-Ke - dedicated to designing clothing for the authentic woman — a trendsetter who has a cosmopolitan sensibility with an exclusive sense of style.
  5. Monif C. plus sizes - I met Monif C. through an email last summer before the launched her site and it’s been amazing the growth that has come from this new comer to online fashion.
  6. Size Appeal.com - Bold sexy clothing for plus size women especially teens. One of the great things about this merchant is the low cost of the clothing.
  7. Statture (Men) - I can’t forget the men. There are not as many merchants coming online for larger men but stores like this that carry extra long ties are definitely filling a need.
  8. Torrid - Catering to young women who are part of the fast growing plus size fashion market. Torrid is one of the few merchants that specifically targets plus size teens.
  9. Zaftique - Trendy stylish clothing that is cataloged on there site by body type. There Z Size approach to sizes is said to be a better fit than X sizes.
  10. Zapelle - Styles for American women inspired by the clothing of India. Also available are styles for those that want authentic Indian designs from the sister brand eShakti.

As you can see there are quite a few names out there in the world of plus size fashion. Some of this growth I have witnessed over the time that I have been blogging others where around before me. It’s obvious that there is tremendous growth in the world of plus size fashion both online and off, with more to come in the future.

As a result in the growth in the fashion area there has been lots of opportunities for plus size modeling. Most of the merchants are looking for models at least a size 14 on a regular basis. If things continue like this I will soon be blogging about the top 20 list.

    I know a few of them, such as igigi, zaftique. All of them are famous in plus size fashion. But the clothes on igigi are a little expensive if there is no discount. Many friends of mine at largeplace.com have no ability to do shopping there.

    My name is Angie i’m 4′9 and size 18 and 44 yrs young everything is either too boxy for a plus size woman or old looking is there anything that a short person can wear that would like nice for work and play. I’ve tried the designed shirts but I have big boobs and it really looks not so great on me. please help
