10 Plus Size Bra Tips

When I first heard about Susan Nethero a.k.a. the “bra Whisperer” I had written about the journey that my wife has been on for years to find an affordable comfortable bra. I have learned a lot from reading several websties and talking to many ladies about their tips on bra care and fit. Listed below are some tips that are courtesy of Intimacy as well as a few of my own. I hope these are of help to ladies and some men trying to understand the ins and outs of the bra world.

1. Wearing a bra more than two days in a row or more than two times between washing will stretch the elastic out of shape.
2. Use detergents that are specifically made for bras. Even delicate wash powders can damage the lining of a bra.
3. Rinsing a bra in cold water may bring back the “memory” of your bra to conform to your breasts.
4. Always air dry a bra. Dryers even on low temperatures can ruin a bra.
5. Use lingerie bags for bras. It will eliminate snags in the washing machine drum.
6. Be professionally measured to ensure proper fit.
7. Underwires should rest on your rib cage not on the breast.
8. Wear the right bra; sport, strapless, bustier, etc for the right occasion.
9. Purchase nursing bras before the arrival of your baby.
10. Once you find a bra that fits stock up.
