10 things that you will see this fall

Though it’s really hot the time to think about clothes for the fall/winter is now. Throughout the rest of this month I will be blogging about things related to the upcoming fall season. To start with in order to get you going here are the trends that you will see this fall.
- Leggings where very popular when I was in high school and it looks like for the up coming fall season they will be back. One tip with leggings is to layer your clothes over them to bring your total outfit together.
- You can call it the return of the 80’s and sweater dresses will be part of that trend. This type dress is perfect for when it gets really cold outside and minimizes the need to wear a really big outer coat.
- Voluminous clothes made of more fabric to wrap you in a cocoon in a more flattering way will appear much more this season than in years past.
- A big floppy hat with evening wear is something that you will see more of in the fall. You will be able to wear your favorite floppy hat with your little black dress.
- Fans of plaid don’t feat because there will be more of it showing up throughout this season. A classic design that never really goes out.
- Short boots to show off your ankles will be seen more and more on the streets as it gets cooler. If your legs are your best attribute then you will want to make sure you get what I always called “elf boots to show off your legs. Plus they go with leggings.
- Animal prints with lots of spots will be the thing to watch out for in both clothing and outerwear. Exotic looks to fit your sassy style.
- Bold colors will be in but not the electric colors that are commonly associated with warmer weather. Red, blue, green and purple will be seen more.
- Velvet is classic and timeless and is back and will be seen everywhere.
- Black will never go out but this fall not only will you see lots of black but you will see lots of sheer black or “nude black” especially in eveningwear. Look for long flowing dresses made out of sheer black materials.
One thing about the new styles for the fall they are not for everyone and considering that my readers are all plus size if there is something that your not comfortable wearing then don’t. But if your looking to come out of your shell and show the world your sexy sassy side then by all means strut your stuff and don’t you worry about a thing that others have to say.
