As I come to the close of three years writing for Full Figure Plus looking at my blog stats revealed some interesting things. Including this post there were 572 total posts for the year. There are still not as many comments as I would like, but 2,288,097 visitors viewed content in various categories that I will list in a separate post which means that even without the comments people are reading and taking action from what I write.
Enrolling in college to finish a degree that I started in 1985 has also had a positive impact on my blog activity. I feel more confident about words that write than ever before. The break that I was able to take back in the summer thanks to Corrina allowed me to concentrate on classwork and rewire my typing fingers.
The biggest lesson that I learned this year was not trying to force something to happen. I changed the focus of my other blog to plus size modeling, but this blog by far gets the most email and questions asked about modeling specifically Mo’Nique and the F.A.T. Chance competition. Ladies no I am not Mo’Nique and I don’t have any connection to her I just blog about her.
Another lesson that I learned was that direct advertising is another source of blog income. Earlier this year offers to purchase advertising space started hitting my email. I quickly developed a campaign that turned into one of the bigger money makers of the year. I want to thank all of the companies that have chosen to advertise on Full Figure Plus. Niche blogging or blogging in a specific category is the new buzzword of the year. I have been blogging in the plus size category for years and expect to continue to grow and evolve as time goes by. The foundation of this blog will always be to point out the best in plus size fashion and lingerie, reader preference tells me when it comes to the plus size community diversity is the key to longevity. For 2008 I will be making some changes to reflect what you the readers would like to see.
