Overall 2009 has started off kind of slow in the community for larger individuals. Even with that I have a few things in mind that will be revealed in the New Year that will suprise some and be a welcome to others.
- Mo’Nique will talk more candidily about why she abruptly decided to end F.A.T. Chance.
- Modeling for larger men and women will continue its massive growth rate.
- A major fashion designer will promote plus size fashions.
- An independent plus size modeling agency will be featured at the New York Fashion Week.
- Within the size community blogs and websites about subjects beyond size acceptance will gain more acceptance.
- Retailer Lane Bryant will close more stores.
- One of the online e-zines for plus sizers will jump to the newstands.
There are a few other things that I think that will happen during this year but these are the big one and the ones that I think that will have a ripple affect across the board. What do you think are some of the major things that will happen in 2009?
