5 clues that it is time to buy a new bra

Recently my wife replaced all of her bras. Mainly because she has new pretty ones but for more practical reasons as well. We talk alot about when is the proper time to replace a bra. I have covered this topic before but it is something that is important enough to talk about again.

Most of these suggestions are pretty much common sense to most full figured ladies, but it never hurts to have a reminder of when its time to replace on of the most important pieces in your wardrobe.

Weight Loss

If your weight goes up or down by more than ten pounds then there is a high likelihood that your breast will shift causing your bra to not fit right. Have yourself remeasured and properly fitted for maximum support.

Worn material

At no time should you treat your bra like your favorite shoes or jeans. If you have had the same bra for over a year its time to let it go. If the material is worn, boning is exposed or you have to use a safety pin to fasten it then its time replace it.

Spillage

If its not a cleavage enhancer and your spilling over the top or the sides this is a sure sign that your not wearing the right size and its time for a change. Spillage leads to discomfort which can lead to other problems if not corrected soon.

Comfort

Having to wear a piece on a daily basis, comfort should be at the top of your list. If you are spending your entire day adjusting straps and stuffing your breasts back in the cups then thats another clue that its time to get a new bra.

Though the look of your bra is not as important as the support that it provides, if you don’t like the look of your bras then that is reason enough as well to make a change.

Caring for your bras

Make your bras last longer by following a few basic rules that way you will know exactly when to change out.

1. Hand washing is best but you can still wash them in a machine in cold water.
2. Never where the same bra for more than 2 days in a row.
3. Have a minimum of 6 bras to allow for wearing, washing and in between.

Most of these suggestion are common sense to most people but I have always been a person that believes that you can never have to much helpful information. If you have some suggestions on what works for you I would love to hear about them.
