Hundreds of plus-size fashion stores and more Ultimate Plus-Size Shopping List!

Inspired by the post Five fashion mistakes most women make, gave me the idea of listing mistakes that I have seen and talked about involving larger men and women.  Before the fashion nazi’s call for my resignation hear me out.

1. Wearing clothes that don’t fit – This one has been my number one faux pax for years.  Nothing will make you look worse than wearing clothes that are to big or to small.
2. Just because it comes in your size – Clothes are a reflection of your personality.  Just because it fits does not mean that you should wear it.  Knowing the fashion you is extremely important.
3. Wearing the wrong bra size – Actually this one is for women of all sizes but larger women with bigger breasts make this mistake far to much.  Getting measured by a professional and keeping in mind 80% of support comes from the band not the straps.
4. Not having a wardrobe – It is ok to mix and match your clothes but if your closet is full of special occasion clothes then you are not building a wardrobe as much as stockpiling individual pieces.
5. Impulse shopping – Using charged emotions to shop instead of approaching shopping with a plan to build a solid foundation for your clothes and lingerie not only wastes money but leave you with a closet full of clothes you don’t wear that much.

Really these are more oversites and doing things the way that they have always been done instead of mistakes.  Plus size fashion is new even to plus size ladies in that for so many years making due with clothing that was just bigger versions of smaller fashions has created a culture of confusion among ladies and even more among men trying to shop for the special curvy diva in his life.

With a little foresight and patience each and every size sexy woman can look her very best every time you walk out of the house.  What are some mistakes that you or others around you have made as far as fashion is concerned?
