I believe there are many misconceptions and role misunderstandings associated with this subject. Nowdays both men and women are capable of having casual sex without obtaining too much of a negative image. Therefore, there may be “easy” good looking women as well as “easy” fat women. The reason fat women seem easier is because they may be looking to just have fun instead of something serious, but because they are fat, do not have very many opportunities to do this. Thinner, more attractive(to a wider group of men) women may seem more difficult to seduce because they have an offer everyday. A simple metaphor would be: Do hungy people always eat more than people who have food? Yes! because they’re hungry.

I concur with you, but we all know in America that it is just not the case. Size discrimination from both men and women happens all the time leading to preconceived notions.

i am big and am very hurt being judged by men people just need to give each other respect we never know what a person has been through. just treat anyone big or small like you would want to be

Your article is reassuring of what I have felt for a long time. Like Dana, I am very smart, articulate, well dressed, hold a great job, no children and I am overweight. I consider myself to be a beautiful person on the inside and outside. For the longest period of time I would just avoid men who flirted with me because it would usually lead up to them just asking for sex. When I would say no, they would become persistent with lines like “you can make a guy wait to have sex with you, but if he is going to leave you after sex, he will leave you no matter how long he has to wait.”

I attributed this kind of behavior to immaturity. Here recently I have gone out on dates with three older men, and guess what they all ask for? Sex. It really is sickening. One of the guys I sort of liked but after two dates of me telling him “no” and refusing his erotic behavior while simply kissing, he has stopped calling me. I know that I am better off with out him.

I do not chase men and I would rather die alone than sacrifice my dignity to get “some attention.” To my plus-size sisters out there, keep your head, tell those sorry bastards to buzz off.
