6 reasons Velvet D’Amour will make a great judge for F.A.T. Chance

I was just reading on the F.A.T. Chance website about the judges and was surprised to discover that Velvet D’Amour would be one of the judges. I started thinking about it and it came to me that she is the perfect choice as a judge and here is why I think that way.
- She lives in Paris. This was a no brainer.
- She can relate to what the ladies that are non-models are going through.
- As a photographer she will be able to spot the woman that has the best camera appeal.
- She is actually a plus size model. See reason number one.
- High fashion experience will allow her to be able to spot the lady with the most potential.
- Her presence gives validity to the entire show.
Overall I think that it was a brilliant move by the producers of the show to include her. As time grows closer to the premiere there is more reason to celebrate plus size hips and curves. What do you think what are some other advantages to having Velvet on the show.

D’Amour’s appearance on the runway means big things, no pun intended. Not only was her statement a bold one, but the attention she’s getting could mean a change in the fashion industry to finally realize that yes, large ladies also want to wear fashionable clothing! They want to exchange their mumus and spandex pants for haut couture, they always have. The very idea of leaving out a large part of our population from something as interesting and lucrative as fashion is insanity on the part of the business owners. Why shut out that much money? There is simply no reason high fashion can’t be pushed to fat men and women.

I agree with you that it is crazy to leave plus size men and women out of the fashion modeling world. People like Velvet and Mo’Nique are definitely making the way for others to follow.

Seeing the women on the runway encouraged me to countine down the road of self-love and acceptance and to view myself as a beautiful walking piece of artwork that cannot be reproduce.
My husband loves me and tells me I am beautiful all the time, now its time I see myself the same way
