My name is Glen L Johnson the guy behind Full Figure Plus. You can read a little more about my blogging tales on the About Full Figure Plus page. On this page I’m going to give you a peek into my world.

I’m a 43 years old living in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am married to ‘TJ’ and live in the house that I was raised in. I have two boys and a girl that keep me busy all the time but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am a full time blogger  making a decent living from a medium that I did not know existed before October of 2004.

I first discovered blogging when a friend told me about it. My first blog was purely a place to vent. After reading an article in Business 2.0 back in 2004 I knew then that combining blogging with a target audience of plus size men and women would be a good thing. Since that day I have not looked back and couldn’t be more happy.

You may be wondering as a man why would I associate myself with something that is normally viewed as an area dominated by women? It’s simple. I am a plus size man married to a plus size woman and from a plus size family, so I am very much qualified to write about things related to the plus size fashion industry.

A quick glimpse of my story:

For years my bride to be was having a problem finding a bra and panty set.  Being at the time a size 44HH it was impossible to find any decent bra through normal channels.  We would spend at times sixty dollars or more on a single bra and she would still not have panties to match.  Being the nosey guy that I am I struck out to search the Internet to find affordable lingerie for the one that I love.  After a few months of cataloging links from every category imaginable including lingerie I would occasionally share the links with others.  I then read a business article about blogging and made the decision to combine the shopping links and my own unique voice with this new platform, and thusly in the Fall of 2004  Full Figure Plus a blog dedicated to  plus size fashion and more was born.  What started out as a hobby now serves over 60,000 monthly visitors and a source of income for my family.

It took a while for my blog activity to take off, but the one thing that I can say is from the success of Full Figure Plus I was able to start my company Full Figure Network, Inc. with no money and a year later it started  generating a comfortable income for me and my family.

I hope this has given you a nice glimpse into my world and how blogging has changed my life forever.
