Beware the Acai Berry Diet Ads

Why would I think that I could lose 50lbs or more by drinking some juice?  That is what the Acai Berry people want you to think and one of the main reasons they are under investigation right now.  As a blogger/marketer I have promoted many products on Full Figure Plus, but one that I have not put much emphasis on is dieting and weight loss.  To me they are counter productive against me promoting stores that cater to plus size fashion.

The Acai Berry mess once again promotes lightning in a bottle dieting, which will make you lose weight from your wallet faster than it will your wasitline. But then again if a person gets hooked on a scam like this they won’t be eating that much so I guess they will lose some weight due to starving.

Plus Sizers we have either experienced or know someone that has experienced dozens of so called weight loss miracle drugs, jusices, and pills only to throw whatever product in the trash when they realize it doesn’t work.  Marketers preying on desparate individuals would be shot on sight if I was king of the world.

Promoting products is about credibility not about profits and the Acai Berry Ads have paid actors and actresses that are selling and image not a healthy product.  Not only is it deceptive but the bloggers hawking this snake oil makes the rest of us look bad.

Acai Berry and all of your internet promoters I hope that the resulting lawsuit wipes you off the map for deceptive advertising practices.

FYI: Acai Berry is available at your local vitamin supplement store for less than what the overhypes ads sell them for.  It is available in both juice and pill form.

Yeah, I read somewhere that those Acai Berry sites would tempt people with free trials or whatever cheap offers, then they’d bill their credit cards like $89 per month!

I had the dickens of the time trying to block all those Acai ads off my sites. It seems every time I blocked “Julie’s Diet” or whatever, another one would pop up.

Even trying to block the advertiser group didn’t seem to work.

    Anyway, great site,

I work in a store that carries an acai tea, I love it, it has great flavor, that’s what has me hooked. Then all the fanfare about it being this weight loss miracle sprouts up and I can’t believe it. Why? Because during my mass consumption of the product I’ve seen no such results. My only benefit is finding a low caffeine (it’s a green tea blend, so it has a small amount of caffeine) drink that I don’t need to add sweetener to in order to have a refreshing and enjoyable alternative to water or the ubiquitous diet soft drinks. To be honest, I feel all this weight loss nonsense has tainted the good name of a very flavorful berry that should be given its due as a beautiful fruit.
