“No Shrimps Allowed,” that is the tagline on the website for Mighty Big Man clothing. When Doug Hill a representative of the company emailed me I was thinking that I had been lazy in writing about clothes for Big and tall men. He was nice enough to send me a shirt and a pair of jeans which you will see among the pictures. Thanks Doug!

The non-professional pictures are of me. What I liked the most about the jeans is the fit loose which made me feel comfortable. While I am not a shrimp the 2XLT shirt is actually to big for me but I pull my sleeves up all the time so its no big deal for me. My wife who does the majority of shopping for my clothes was very impressed with the look which is a plus considering I know many men that never shop for themselves. I think its a “This is what I think you would look good in” thing. Additionally unless your Big and tall frame is that of a pro athlete it is possible that whatever size you wear in Mighty Big Man Clothing you will need to go down 2 sizes. I normally wear a size 40, Doug sent me a 38 which is still a bit to big. If I put on a size 40 they would have fallen to my knees! www.mightybigman.com is the brainchild of two apparel manufacturing veterans, Doug Hill and Dave Smith. One of their projects involved producing warm up suits and sportswear items for some of the highly visible athletes who were under contract to a very famous sneaker manufacturer in Beaverton Oregon (they will remain nameless!). These athletes would actually show up in Beaverton NOT wearing clothes from this very famous sneaker manufacturer, instead sporting their “favorite sweats”!- At that time we were asked to duplicate these items and place that famous logo on the clothing. We would show the samples to our Big and tall friends who would BEG us to make the same items for them because “there was nothing cool at all for us big guys”!!!! “ We spent months doing our due diligence analyzing the traditional and viral Big and tall marketplace eventually realizing that from a fashion standpoint, this was a barren wasteland. The manufacturing partners we have cultivated over the past 20 years, manufacturers currently producing well know brand merchandise, agreed to provide the same merchandise they produced for labels as a test to validate our idea”, said Hill and Smith.

Over the past 3 months merchandise has been selectively placed in the better retail outlets with resounding acceptance and success.
