Sculptwear – A Fancy Name For Girdle’s For Men?

For the past few weeks I have been talking about shapewear and referring to both men and women in this regard.  Today I came across a new term for men – sculptwear. Most of us that know what the term sculpt means know that some marketer decided in order to attract mean to the shapewear industry something beside terms that reminded us of wearing a girdle would have to be used.

For me it was a little uncomfortable wearing my “sculptwear” but as the name suggests it did just as the name implied it sculpted my body so that my clothes appeared to fit differently.  Side Note:  All this mess with some shapers taking 10 inches off magically or some other equally as preposterous claim make my eye twitch and will not be talked about on this blog.

Jacamo – UK Big and Tall Menswear

I am in the middle of looking for my wardrobe of choice to wear during Full Figured Fashion Week™ and was lucky enough to be contacted by a representative from Jacamo a big and tall menswear retailer based in the UK there were several items I could see myself wearing to fit the mood I am in these days to wear a french cuff shirt, jeans, and a pair of nice dress shoes.

Jacamo.co.uk is  menswear with a difference. It’s perfect for bigger blokes (that’s guys or fellas in the US) who are frustrated with shopping on the high street. Jacamo offers the latest looks in a variety of sizes; so bigger men don’t have to compromise on style or fit. The range has everything from shirts and t-shirts to jeans and shoes so you don’t have to trawl round – everything’s in one place!

Full Figured Fashion Week – Big and Tall Male Model Search

There have been plenty of ground breaking events associated with Full Figured Fashion Week but I think the inclusion of Big and Tall Male models takes the cake. Last year when I attended I was one of few men surrounded by a sea of lovely ladies. This year that is going to change with the inclusion of men during the events. Fellas I know that I normally don’t push events for men on Full Figure Plus, but an event of this size needs to be heeded.

Why is this important?  Just like FFF Week in its first year was important for the ladies the inclusion of men this year will give some focus to men that want to dress in more than just jeans and a tshirt.  I personally can’t wait to see what the men have to offer.  If you are in the area on March 23 then bring your A-game and your photos to the audition!

Reintroducing Cool Big & Tall Men’s Clothes From Mighty Big Man

It is that time of the year in which I have to replace almost all of my clothes.  I am going to let a secret out.  Though I love writing for you ladies when it comes to my own shopping it is something I do not like it.  When I do shop I like for it to be painless and affordable.  For that reason I am glad I came across Mightybigman.com and its owner Doug Hill.

The long sleeve thermal shirt and jeans look has become my go to look when I do not feel like putting an outfit together.  With very cool clothes for today’s big and tall man (sizes XL-6X, jeans up to 56 waist and 36″ inseams- talls from XLT-4XTall) Mighty Big Man plays into my hard wired guy urge to be lazy.    A new website and new styles at  affordable prices are a definite plus making yours and my shopping experience totally painless.   With free shipping until December 10th you can’t go wrong.

How To Shop For A Big and Tall Men’s Suit

Last night I was asked a question about finding a good suit for a big and tall man without breaking the bank.  Here locally we have the usual suspects of Paul Bunyan’s and Casual Male XL! but what is a man to do when faced with trying to purchase a big and tall size suit when both time and money are at a premium?

  1. Know your size.  Seek out a tailor and be measured from head to toe.  Having these measurements handy will save lots of time and money
  2. Shop were professional athletes shop to unsure the merchant caters to your size
  3. Know the occasion the suit is needed for.  An everyday suit is different from a wedding suit or if this is your first suit ever
  4. If you are low on suits be prepared to purchase one in black, blue, and brown
