Last week I took over the Curvy Fashionista and wrote about plus-size fashion making a debut during New York Fashion week this year. At the same time, I was introduced to the term “Belle Epoque Fashion” which translates to “The golden age of fashion.” While the fan in me of full figure fashion and full figure women agrees one hundred percent in this term part of me says yes no. This year I will be in Detroit to attend The 4th Annual International Fuller Woman Expo. I have been trying for the last two years to get to town to see this event and this year is my year. I am looking forward to seeing some of the ladies I have already met plus hearing from some of the additional speakers. If you are going to be in town let me know and maybe we can do lunch.

Two years in New York now it is time for Full Figured Fashion Week™ to hit the West Coast. Just like I was there to witness and be a part of the first event in New York I am going to pack the blog up and head to Los Angeles. As I put the finishing touches on getting ready to head to New York I began to think about how important an event like this is and what it means to the full figured/plus-size community as a whole.
