Beauty Salon Says Customer is to fat for a peidure
Just when you think that you have herad it all in the size discrimination arena this happens. As a business owner I know that I have the right to refuse anyone but to refuse a person based on their size is just wrong.
She claims she was turned away and told she’s too fat for a pedicure. Now, a West Palm Beach woman is planning a discrimination suit against a local nail salon. Barbara Phillips tells NewsChannel 5 an employee refused service, saying, “Your weight, your weight! You can’t fit in the chair! You’re too big.”

On a few of the message forums that I belong to the debate is started again that fat girls are sexually loose because of low self esteem. The last time I checked low self esteem is not something that is exclusively fat so to equate bigger ladies with low self esteem and sex is crazy. Why I NEED Individuals Who Hate Fat People
I was just reading a post on A Celebration of Curves about a very juvenile individual that has none to kind words about fat people. I can’t remember how many blogs I have read over the years that have had more than a fair share of comments that are so hate filled that I wonder how someone can feel that way about another person because of how much they weigh. On second thought its the same pattern that breeds hatred because of the color of someones skin. Back to why I need fat haters.
Most Americans are too Fat to Drive Newer Vehicles
I am not sure who is to blame the engineers or the executives. When I read in todays USA Today tire weight limits on most new vehicles, and how these limits are based on passengers not weighing more than 200 pounds, all I could do is shake my head. The limitations are a result of the massive tire recall of Firestone tires back in 2000. In other words car manufacturers are trying to save themselves from being sued.
Is Plus Size Fashion a Niche Market?
After reading Paris fashionistas embrace oversized clients, which talks about how one of the major fashion shows in Paris has embraced plus size clothing houses and models I started to think about plus size fashion in general. For decades purchasing clothing for larger sizes has been treated as a niche or specialty market. With more and more retailers and designers paying attention to the plus size market, are fashions for plus sizes and big and tall still considered to be a niche market?
