Long time customers are in for a special treat upon logging onto IGIGI. The company that has become known for trendy stylish plus size fashion has been re-branded IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel in honor founder and designer Yuliya Raquel
. The new design gives the website an overall cleaner look. The MyShape portion of the website has been updated to be more user friendly highlighting a much more natural navigation structure.
Some of the blog features that were a part of the old site are gone others have been integrated seamlessly into the website. The blog navigation is clunky at this point with no links to navigate to other blog posts unless you click on the Inside IGIGI link at the top of the page. But lets face it your not going to IGIGI to just read the blogs only are you?
The shopping cart a.k.a “my bag” is one of the coolest features on the entire site. As you add items to your bag a small window pops up in the upper right hand corner to show what you entered eliminating the need to go to checkout to see what you have. You can also mouseover the “my bag” link to show you everything you have selected in addition to a running total of your choices.
Payments can be made with a credit card, Paypal, or store credits. Adding Paypal as an option is something that more stores that want to give customers as many options as possible to make a purchase. Only merchants that stay out front like this in my opinion will survive long term. One odd feature on the new website is the ability to subscribe to RSS feed of your wishlist. Basically, the wishlist is an electronic version of window shopping that allows you to “bookmark” items that you like. Customers can subscribe to other customers lists and vice versa. Additionally, there is an option to write product reviews. I think that this will be the most powerful section of the website to allow shoppers to state what they like and dislike about different items.
The final new twist on the new face of IGIGI is The Limited Collection. What is the IGIGI Limited Collection?
