Chocolate Siztaz Writing Contest - Press Release

As a blogger I will always have a soft spot for writers. There is nothing more cool than coming across writers and contests that are openly willing to feature full-figured stories.  Such a contest is on the horizon.  Check out the details below:

Chocolate Siztas, Sacramento’s premier hosts of programs and events for the full-figured community, has opened a call for submissions for its two upcoming anthologies.

1) Insatiable is an erotic anthology. Stories must prominently feature full-figured characters and themes. Stories should be between 2,500 and 3,500 words long and must not be strictly full of sex, but have a plot and real characted development. Work that disrespects the full figured will not be accepted.

2) Heavy Burden is an anthology of personal experiences. We’re looking for folks to share their vast experiences of being large in a “small” minded society. Stories should be between 2,500 and 3,000 words.

The deadline for submission is Monday, September 1, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. PST. Please allow three to four months for a response to your submission. Only original, unpublished work will be accepted.

Please email submissions for Insatiable to gbarrow@ChocolateSiztas.com and submissions for Heavy Burden to tmadison@ChocolateSiztas.com. Word attachments please. Those submitting to Insatiable must be 18 or over. Those submitting to Heavy Burden must include brief bio and head shot.

Side Note:  For Microsoft Word users that have Office 2007 installed on thier computer it would probably be best to submit your story in compatability mode which can be read in Word 97-2003 to ensure the file can be opened.  Word 2007 documents can only be opened in Word 2007.
