I have been in the new place almost a month now. I must say that I love Wordpress as my blogging platform it allows me freedoms of blogging like never before. I still have little tweaks that I have to deal with just getting to know the software but that will come in time. For now I guess its time to go over some of the new things for those that are new to Full Figure Plus or those that are new to blogging in general.
Pages
This is something that is new to me but is something that I’m excited about because I’m able to break up things so that there is not sensory overload because every thing is on the front page. I broke these up as you can see into About Full Figure Plus, About Glen, Contact, and plus size shopping links. So far this has been going well and I am very happen with this particular design element.
Categories
Categories are something that I had been doing manually with blogger but is a built in part of Wordpress. To be able to come up with the categories for an article that I write and select several categories for one post is a good thing for those that come to my blogs looking for something in particular.
Archives, blogroll, Meta and the other things are just nice touches. Book marking on del.ico.us. is something new that I’m trying. If there is something about plus size clothing or anything else for that matter that my readers can bookmark and share with others. After all blogging is about sharing information.
Though the essence of my writing will always be plus size and plus size related there are times that updates like this help you guys get to know me better. I started Confessions of a Plus Size Blogger on my Yahoo 360 page a few months ago and decided that I would transfer it over to Full Figure Plus and possibly make it a weekly series. I will just have to see how it goes.
