Its to bad that we in the United States don’t have something similar. Brittney Fisher, a 23 year old waitress is the winner of Canada’s Plus Size Modeling Contest. The contest was sponsored by Addition Elle, Penningtions, and others showing that Canada has a much more open mind than other countries when it comes to larger women.
According to Brittney, “Don’t waste time not loving yourself, becasuse the moment you start loving yourself, you become happy. And when you’re happy nothing but good comes to you.”
Fisher will also be featured in September’s LouLou for You, the magazine’s plus-size supplement that focuses on fashion-forward trends for full-figured women. Congratulations Brittney on collecting the grand prize, which includes:
- A one-year modeling contract
- A $2,500 wardrobe from Addition Elle, Penningtons and MXM
- A chance to appear in company advertising.
