Did No’Nique Have Weight Loss Surgery?

A few weeks ago I first wrote about Mo’Nique and the rumor of her having weight loss surgery. Seeing these pictures of Mo’Nique taken at the launch of the Healing Starts With Us party a week ago makes me think that no only does she have on an ugly outfit but she is smaller. What do you think? Additionally, do you think that she had surgery or she just lost weight naturally and if she underwent WLS do you think that it affects her position on size acceptance that she built a career around?

Shawls are nice and so are wraps - but umm - is that a blanket? She is probably wearing a fabulous dress - but you cannot tell with that thing she is wearing over it.
She does look smaller - I am not sure about the rumors - will be interesting to find out, though -

It’s hard to say whether she’s had surgery; even liposuction doesn’t reduce your size very quickly. It does seem like that outfit is intended to hide her body, for some reason. And I agree, it’s a horrendous look.

I think that she is trying to hide her body because I have never seen monique look like that. If she did it she should just be honest… I really think that she is afraid of losing her fan base but… It goes along with the territory…

I have to agree with the other ladies above: the shawl/poncho/throwblanket thing she has wrapped around her looks like a not-so-subtle attempt to mask her body. But even with the wrap, you can see in her face and just her overall sihouette that she looks smaller.
More power to her if she has lost weight by whatever means…I just hope she doesn’t go the Star Jones route.

I hope that monique did not take the star jones look she looks like she has gone on a diet i knew she was going to end up small because in hollywood puts a lot of pressure on actors and actress about being thin lets face it god made every body different and if i have to have weight lose surgrey to fit into americas ideal of being beautiful then ill be the only plusssize happy diva!

YES…MoNique has had the gastric bypass surgery. Recently she appeared on TV One - and she is nice and slim in places that are very noticable. I am a little disgusted to see her in that manner. She has built and empire and a worlwide relationship in person and on/thru TV for women in the plus size range. To tell the world to love yourself within the size they present -then U turn around and spend the $KKK?? to get skinny -then what?? Remember Skinny Bitches were Evil -so that will make you what -having a mood swing and we should excuse that? It’s her life though, funny how you made a movie, made jailhouse comedy apperances and books. But when she was crying, was it the pain of her weight or the fact that she is a hypocrit… Funny what money can do -she don’t care no how, she paid off the fat firl clothes from her expensive website and so on. Good for her if it’s health reason she wouldn’t be hiding under clothing -her kids need her WE DON’T need another false public image….
