Discrimination against Plus Size people

I was just reading a news article about how the Australian version of the popular US reality show The Biggest Loser is being criticized for humiliating fat people in the name of entertainment. This is one of the parts of reality television that I have never agreed with and just simply exercised my right to not watch.
If someone is doing there best to lose weight, what is funny or entertaining about making them set unrealistic goals for weight loss or making them do crazy stunt?
There where even some comments on lingerie blog that where very negative but instead of erasing them or trying to get into a comment war with those that have already made up in there mind that if you are of a certain size then it’s ok to belittle that person.
The road to happiness has nothing to do with a person’s weight there are just as many physical and psychological problems going on with someone who is smaller as there are with plus size people. I would be nice to see more reality TV do positive things regarding people of size but I guess that wouldn’t bring the ratings that bashing fat people would.
