Do you know when its time to get a new bra?

One of the things that I have talked about over the years with my wife is when is it time to replace her bras. She would always say that they don’t give her the support that they used to so it was time to get new bras. Though it made sense to me I decide to do a little research on it to see what I came up with.
For the most part my wife was on the mark saying that her bra didn’t give the support that it used to and here is why. If you have a bra without an underwire then the material will stretch out more so overtime with washing and wearing it will no longer hold the shape that it did the day you purchased it.
Losing or gaining more than 10 pounds in a six to twelve month period is also reason enough to replace your bra. If you have to change out your clothing then it just makes sense that you will have to replace your underwear as well. Also if there is any weight fluctuation either up or down its best to be measured to see if your cup size is the same or has changed.
Wearing a bra more than two days in a row doesn’t give it time to relax and go back to its original shape. For this reason I recommend having no less than six bras at a time. This doesn’t include bras that are for special outfits and are not worn that often. Having at least six will allow a good rotation through the year of washing, wearing and replacing as needed.
If you are the type that prefers an underwire then make sure that the underwire stays inside of its housing. Any worn out areas can cause the boning to come out.
When purchasing new bras its best to buy them in bunches instead of one at a time. Many stores have buy one get one half or free. This is a way that you can get everything that you need without having to spend a lot of money. This is especially helpful for ladies with odd or fuller cup sizes. For plus sizes this presents a big problem. Up until a year ago my wife had to go to specialty shops to buy her bras. Each one cost between forty and fifty dollars, so you can imagine the strain on our pockets trying to keep her fitted at that price. But the sales have been a lifesaver and I would recommend buying in bulk any day over trying to piece things together.
Remember replacing your bra on a regular basis will not only allow you to get new lingerie every few months, but it will help make sure that you don’t have any discomfort or worse embarrassment because your bra failed and you spilled out.
