Do you need to include “BBW” in your personal ad?

I was just reading over at Deluxe Grrl about her conflict of including the term “BBW” or not in a personal ad.
Personally I think that it all depends on the type of dating service as to the terminology that should be used in a personal ad.
If dealing with a generic dating site like Yahoo Personals then I would think including as much information about yourself would be a good thing.

On Yahoo there will be both plus size and smaller individuals that will be browsing ads, therefore so as not to waste your time or there’s it’s a good idea to include bbw, plus size, full figured to let that person decided if they want to get to know you that they will be dealing with a person of size.

On a size friendly site such as Large Friends it’s a given that most of the men and women will be plus sized individuals so there is no real need to include size related terms in a profile. The only use something like that could possibly have would be if an individual was looking for a partner that was a certain size, but that’s another topic all together.
Honesty is always the best route to take when dealing with personal ads. The problem lies in how much information to reveal and how much to hold back for the forthcoming face to face meeting.

It’s a shame that plus size men and women are under more pressure to include terms like “more to love”, “pleasantly plump”, “a little on the chubby side”, etc. to describe themselves when the size of a person has nothing at all to do with the content of there character.

In the end it comes down to what is best for your individual circumstance as to the wording that you use in a personal ad. If including phrases that speak to your size is important then by all means include it, if not use other creative terms to help find a compatible partner.
