Figure Magazine is Searching for a Plus Size Blogger
- 0 Comments
I have been an on again off again reader of Figure Magazine since it debuted as a magalog in Lane Bryant a few years ago. I was especially surprised when they moved out of the stores and to the new stands a few months ago. Readership apparently is up which is a good thing. I noticed on there website a few weeks ago that they where conducting a search for a blogger. I started seeing names like Big Fat Blog, Pretty Pear, and the plus size blog over at about.com. Though I feel that this blog is just as good as the others that I named I did not nominate myself becasue of other business ventures and school.
When I received this email from one of the readers at Full Figure Plus I was surprised to say the least. I recently celebrated 3 years of blogging and though I don’t get the attention some of the other blogs get apparently there is something that inspired Brina to post this on the Figure message board to nominate this blog for the blogger for Figure.
“This blog is updated on a routine basis by a blogger named Glen who absolutely adores full figured women. He started his blog 3 years ago as a dedication to his wife. Since then he has discussed all kinds of social, fashion, and health issues concerning full figured women. I initially thought…what would a guy know about issues facing full figured women. Well turns out he knows a TON!! Can you imagine a man giving me advice on how to select a bra or how to get a better fit from my clothes? How about him being ticked that Old Navy only sells their plus sized clothing online? I really think that he is a wonderful nomination.
Thanks for such a fantastic magazine, Figure. Don’t you DARE go disappearing off the shelves like some of the full figured magazines have done in the past.

Keep up the good work, Sugah!!! It is NOT going unnoticed.
For those that don’t know about the community that Figure magazine is building online check them out. Though I am not a regular over there I have read lots of good information. With the debut of a blog for the magazine they can join The Avenista the blog by the Avenue. Blogging is to common for there to not be more corporate stores to have it as part of there internet business. Thanks again Brina and good luck to Figure in there search for the perfect blogger.
