Have you ever found a necklace to die for but it would not fit? Do you hate those necklace extenders?  Many women that I have encountered over the years have these issues and more when it comes to finding jewelry.  Much to my pleasure and later surprise when not long ago I was approached by Mary Loging with an offer to show me and my wife the jewelry that she designs.  Looking at her website the jewelry which consists of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings that are not specifically for plus size women but by their very design are perfect for the plus size physique.

The custom part of the necklaces come from what Mary calls “finding your sweet spot”.  In finding your spot, which is accomplished through measuring the neck with a cloth measuring tape.  The results fall into categories A-H on an easy to read chart.  After my wife measured her neck I had a fantastic conversation by phone with Mary to let her know about the choice my wife made which was the Cream Crystal Swarovski Crystal Pearl Necklace and if the Cream was not available then she would like the Mixed Peach Swarovski Crystal Pearl Necklace.

After our initial conversation I am not sure who was more excited me or my wife to get a glimpse at such gems. For those that know my wife she is a pearl girl so the chance to browse and choose pearls for her is the equivalent of winning the lottery.  When the package arrived much to both of our surprise there was not one but two necklaces!  They were wrapped in red tissue paper with a gift bag displaying the company logo.  Subtle details that added to the professional nature of Mary Loging Designs.

My first impression of the necklaces was shock at the weight and size of the stones.  Next, and by far the best feature of all, a magnetic clasp to hold the necklace together instead of the traditional hook and eyelet set up.  Of course my wife who had on a set of faux pearls immediately discarded them to try on the new necklaces.  Not only did they fit perfect but the look was stunning.  Finally, each necklace was individually boxed and included a signed certificate of authenticity signifying that your necklace is one of a kind signed by Mary herself.

A subsequent call to Mary to thank her for her work and unbelievable generosity inspired her to create a segment on her website called “Real Women Wear Sweet Spot Jewelry” that will feature ladies just like my wife wearing jewelry that they purchased.

By now it may sound like I am just going on an on telling the story about my encounter with Mary of Mary Loging Designs, but from were I sit Mary touched me and my family in an incredible way.  The gifts that she bestowed on my wife, she did not have to do, so it is the least I can do to not only tell the world about jewelry that was not initially made for plus size women, but is perfect in every way for a woman of size and to congratulate her for the courage to start a business in the economic turmoil that is facing many of us.
