Full Figured Fashion Week Presents the Curvy Collective

The countdown has official begun for me to head to New York in a few weeks to be a part of plus size history! Full Figured Fashion week will be held June 25-27 and will be sure to be a historic event! One special feature going on which I am both excited beyond belief and humbled is to be a part of a panel of individuals dubbed the Curvy Collective. The Curvy Collective is made of individuals who are represent different but equally important aspects of the plus size community. The panel will be discussing “The State of the Curvy Community” in addition to answering audience questions. The Curvy Collective will be involved in FFF Week in other ways which will be announced later. Only websites and blogs that have the banner that you see above on them are OFFICIAL members of the Curvy Collective. The official member names will be released shortly which means if you don’t get your information from one of us it may be incorrect.
Panel discussion “The State of the Curvy Community”

Cost: Free
Purpose:
To discuss the current state of the plus-size community through volunteering of facts, asking questions, stating opinions-all expressed with geniality, and with respect for the contributions of other members.

There wasn’t…until NOW!
A partnership of independent fashion designers, retailers, event producers, models and plus industry businesses, Full Figured Fashion Week (FFFWeek) was created to increase economic development in the area of plus size fashion design, clothing merchandising and plus modeling. Our goal is to highlight the very best in plus size fashions – both retail and independent designers, while providing an inaugural showcase of talented designers, models, stylists and plus industry businesses that serve the plus size consumer.
It is estimated that this long overdue and highly anticipated three-day fashion extravaganza (June 25-27, 2009) will debut before an audience of over 1500+ plus size fashion enthusiasts, style mavens, models, boutiques, vendors and the media.
The FFFWeek finale showcase, which will take place on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 at The Prince George Ballroom, will feature the runway collections of high-end plus size fashion boutiques, retail stores and local and out of state independent designers.
History is about to be made—We hope you’ll join us!
