Last weeks opinion poll regarding the views on the plus size beauty of the week were quite interesting. There where a total of 131 votes. The fact that the majority of the responses 83% said yes was not the interesting part in my opinion. The 9% that answered maybe peeked my curiosity.
There was a comment when the poll first came out last week that stated being unsure about “beauty.” Though I can not speak for the commenter my best guess is that the term “beauty” in relation to this particular segment is possibly slight exploitative in how it defines plus sizes and women. I may be totally off the mark in my viewpoint which is where you guys and your thoughts are important and why the poll question was presented in the first place.
This weeks question is up inspired by the post I recently read on Sizenet in which a young lady was brutally beaten because of her size. This weeks question is “Should Violence As a Result of Size Discrimination be Considered a Hate Crime?” Vote in the opinion poll and leave your comments or contact me via the contact form.
I said yes to your full figured opinion this week. When being “you” is now a reason for harmful discrimination, it should be labeled as a hate crime. There are laws for any other discrimination. Any discrimation should never be tolerated by anyone for any reason! Good article Glenn!

Being born and raised in the South I have seen some ugly things done in the name of discrimination. It is sad that we even have to have the debate.
It is a shame. We can help every other country in the world, but we can’t help ourselves overcome discrimination!
