Full Figured Question - Carribean Plus Size Clothing

Full Figured QuestionsConsidering that I normally blog about merchants in the United States that sell plus size clothing I admittedly have not really looked very deep into merchants in other countries.  This weeks question inspired me to research merchants that are specifically in the Carribean.  Since I live in the US and do not know a lot about this area of the world if there is anyone that knows more than I do feel free to contact me or leave your comments.

Question:

How many plus size stores are there in the Caribbean?

Now honestly I don’t think that anyone knows the answer to this question.  During my search I did not really find any Carribean stores that have an online presence but I did come across Zarima that offers custom clothing that is inspired by Carribean, African, and South Asian cultures.

From what I see on Zarima the influence of the Carribean is already in the United States.  Here we call the top a tunic.  The actual name of the piece is a Kutra.

Though this question was not really answered it has me thinking more about featuring merchants from outside of the United States that cater to plus size men and women.  After all I created Full Figure Plus to find shopping links for plus size individuals regardless as to the area of the world that they live in.

There really are not manufacturers of plus sized clothing in the Caribbean, and most retailers have to travel to the US, Canads or UK to purchase for their clients. I have found as a retailer I have to travel to the US to get true plus sizes as some in the Americas are still cut a little neat.

I live in Barbados and there are a few doing well namely What A Woman sizes 14-32 (246) 425-0894. email whatawoman@caribsurf.com
