Good morning readers of Full Figure Plus. I am so happy to be here and I really look forward to getting to know you over the next few weeks while Glen is taking a break from blogging and getting some other things accomplished. I’ve been a fan of Glen’s for a while now and from reading this site I know that you are a fun bunch of folks!

This summer I plan on attending the BlogHer conference in Chicago July 20th through the 22nd and I will also be at the BBW Network Vegas Bash. You can stop by my blog at A Celebration of Curves for links to those events if you are interested.

Currently at Celebration there is a discussion about a certain website that Glen also wrote about recently, who is slinging hate speech in the name of “helping” people who are fat. Some think she should be completely ignored, some think we must discuss these matters openly and there have been a couple of comments suggesting that if we just lost weight then no one would pick on us. Join the discussion if you feel inclined.

I am compiling a list of full figure friendly (say that three times fast!) sites with information on dances and parties this summer. I’ll be posting that soon here at FFP.

In the meantime, please give me a shout out and let me know what your plans are for this summer. Has anyone canceled travel plans because of gas prices? My family had been planning a road trip through the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York but now I think we’re waiting to buy a Prius before we do that much driving.
