Hundreds of plus-size fashion stores and more Ultimate Plus-Size Shopping List!

I think I am one of the few people left in America who has not seen the movie Precious starting the lovely Gabourey Sidbe, Mo’Nique, and Mariah Carey.  If you have not seen the movie I suggest you go and read the book first then see the movie.  Anyway back to Gabby as I have heard here called on countless interviews over the last few days.

Not only can she add looking stunning on the cover of Ebony Magazine to her resume but she can put an Oscar Nomination for best actress in the movie Precious along with looking fantastic the stunning Beaded V-Neck Batwing Dress courtesy of Monif C. Plus Sizes.

I don’t know if you have noticed but Monif C. is doing a killer job of dressing the stars.  The only thing I would change about the cover photo is to add more contrasting colors in the accessories, but who am I to question Gabby and Monif C!

Anywho, I have not seen the article yet, but I will give my honest opinion on what I think it will be.  We will not see the true greatness of Gabourey because Ebony has been lacking in substance in their article writing for years.  Now this is just my opinion and one of the reasons I stopped reading the magazine years ago.  But I am hear to celebrate Gabby not talk about a magazine.

I am happy to see more plus size actresses get serious roles and to be recognized for them.  I am proud of everything that the movie Precious means for the black community and the plus size community.

You can also see the high fashion side of Gabby in the Size Issue of V Magazine on the shelves now that is if you can find it otherwise you will have to do like I did and get the digital copy.  So what do you think about the rise in star power of plus size actresses?
