Before I get into detail about the activities of the week I must pause for a moment to pay the bills. During FFFWeek me and my wife had the pleasure of meeting Yuliya Raquel IGIGI head designer and Ozlem Arpaci marketing representative for the company.
Ozlem who most of us bloggers know from the great job she does of keeping us in the loop about activities from IGIGI was nice enough to send my wife the dress that you see in the photo below. Let me tell you it was both of our pleasure for wifey to be wearing a fantastic dress from a fantastic company but to be able to meet the designer and tell her personally how much her efforts are appreciated.
Meeting Yuliya was such a treat. In person she is energetic, personable, and very knowledgeable about what style clothing fuller figured women need for their body. She commented that IGIGI clothes are made for real women who are true to whatever size they are. For example my wife wears a size 20/22 in IGIGI clothes and the dress fit her flawlessly.
Participants at the event who liked the dress but where unsure about purchasing it were convinced that the dress would fit them after seeing it worn by someone that looked like them. It did not hurt that IGIGI was also one of the featured designers at the runway finale, but more on that later. On the Plus Side of Business Panel that occurred on day three I had the honor of being on the same panel as Yuliya but I will talk about it later. For now if you have been on the fence about purchasing clothes from IGIGI from the mouth of my wife, “The fit is so good and the construction so great that if I thought I could get away with it I would wear the dress inside out like a convertible dress.”
