Indian institute wants to help you hide your belly

Normally when I think about the country of India I don’t think that much about its people being plus size. I just think about the food, its so delicious. But I digress.
Reading that the National Institute of Design in India has submitted a collection of clothing for approval of intellectual property rights says to me that they are on to something.
Apparently they have been focusing on how clothes fit and there findings have resulted in a line of clothing that will soon be on the market. Paying attention to styling, cuts, patterns where the inspirations for the outfits.
Lycra was used in the manufacturing to ensure the fittings and comfort of the dress. Shirts, T-shirts and trousers with innovative fastening techniques like sliding buttons and horizontal zippers.
The shirts have a unique stitching design to avoid the collection of excess material around the waist area. This is for sure something that I am interested in, considering my love of bread has me with quite the belly.
I’m not sure when or if this design technology will ever reach the United States. Hopefully there will be a few designers and manufacturers to come along in 2007 that will want to use this material in there clothing lines.
