Mo’Nique F.A.T. Gyrl Jeans

FAT Gryl Jeans

UPDATE: THERE IS NO OFFICIAL LINE OF CLOTHING FROM MO’NIQUE.  THE JEANS RELATED TO THE MOVIE ARE THE ONLY ITEMS ON SALE ACCORDING TO HER WEBSITE

Questions come in all the time about trying to get some of the clothes the Mo’Nique wears. There are even scam websites out there that are trying to take advantage of the interest in a line of clothing from her. While there is still no official clothing line from Mo’Nique while looking at her website I found that she has some jeans.

Available in three styles F.A.T. Gyrl Jeans are a direct marketing tool for F.A.T. Chance complete with the logo on the back that remind me of Applebottom jeans.  The jeans are made for ladies size 14 and up that want to show of their hips and curves in a pair of stylish jeans. At a cost of $99 per pair I am sure that they will sell like hotcakes just like Sev7en jeans did for Lane Bryant a few years ago.

I am sure that one day there will actually be a clothing line to come out from Mo’Nique.  It is obvious to me that there is a lot of interest from women world wide to wear clothing that she would produce.  Maybe one day she will clear her schedule enough to be able to sit down with a designer and make that happen.

The bottom line answer is yes you can purchase clothing that is connected to Mo’Nique and no there is no word of an official launch of a personal clothing line.  So far only Queen Latifah with the Shop Curvation line is it for celebrity endorsed clothing.

If you could get clothing inspired by Mo’Nique what would be the type of clothing you would want and why?

    Gardinia,

Check with Monique on her official website. I just post information that I get from there.

  • Rox

The F.A.T. Gyrl jeans are totally hideous.
The high cut, the (over)embellishments, and the mid-1990′s rinses….. I expected more from MoNique.

I would like to see a line of dresses and simple, flattering, modern denim from her. Her stylist (who obviously has taste) should do the designing and MoNique can put her name on it.

It can still be young and fun, (think a slightly more grown up Baby Phat). But let’s keep Mo away from the bedazzler.

  • http://www.fullfigureplus.com Glen L Johnson

    Rox,

You make a good point. It seems they rushed the jeans out to take advantage of the popularity of the show.

Thats a great idea that she work with her designer to come up with a line of clothes. We will see if if ever happens.

I’m glad you speak out on behalf of all us Big Beauitful Women, and to let the world know we have wit, style, class and pride. I can’t express how thankfull Iam that you got a clothing line geared to us beauitful women.Ive admired all of your clothes on each show you appeared on, and wonder when those clothes would be available for me to wear, but the problem I have is I live in a small city where we don’t have the privilege to buy clothes that are of class and style for a big beauitful women like myself. Just this pass Friday I purchase a computer and internet service to be able to order clothes for myself, and I’m glad I did for I stumble on to your website and all I can say “I’T’S ABOUT TIME, YOU GO GIRL,YOU MADE MY DAY!”:)
