I found this picture while browsing Google Image Search after inputting the search term “BBW”. I am not sure if the website that I found the site is the original owner or not. Accept my apologies for posting without prior permission. I was very impressed not only with the photo but the statement the young lady wrote on her body. It would be very interesting to find any additional information about the statement. What do you think about the photo?
The fashion establishment is kicking their own ass by ignoring the plus-sized population. On the other hand this is leaving the door wide-open for the customers to become the suppliers. Large women like myself like to be fashion forward in our clothing and dont mind spending big money to do so.

I totally agree with you. Because of the lack of mainstream support more and more independent plus size retailers are hitting the market leaving the old guard in the dust.
I really do hope the “old guard” gets with the program. It’s nice to see a lot of independent retailers getting in on the action, but now as a group we’re in the belief that the only way to get something that fits is to pay for a $50 shirt at a plus size location. I’m all for “money for quality”, but I’m also waiting to see more retailers opening up the budget plus size fashion…after all, other sizes get this all the time, why should we be any different?
I have no problem spending money, but I also want to make my dollars count, and feel as if they’re appreciated. What do women that don’t have the cash to shop at the “trendy” places do for plus size fashion?

Is anyone else put off by companies such as Old Navy that add a plus-size clothing line but won’t sell it through their stores? It always gives me the impression of, “We want your money as long as we don’t have to look at you.”
I couldn’t understand some parts of this article One Picture Makes A Strong Statement About Plus Size Fashion by Full Figure Plus, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
