Hundreds of plus-size fashion stores and more Ultimate Plus-Size Shopping List!

Update October 12, 2009:  Size restrictions have been lowered to a size 12 to be more in line with the mainstream plus modeling industry.

Over the past couple of weeks and definitely leading up to Full Figured Fashion Week submission for the Plus Size Beauty of the Week have come from models that already have industry experience and are actually looking for work.  As much as I would like to be a modeling agency I am not.  The purpose of the beauty of the week is to celebrate curvy women regardless as to the level of modeling experience they have.

With that being said I would like to make a change to the submission process to help out those that are trying to break into the industry as well as those more experienced ladies looking for more exposure.  Submit your photos to beautyoftheweek@fullfigureplus.com as usual but include your contact information as well.  Either a website or email address so that anyone that is looking for models can get in touch with you.  An example of what I am looking for can be found in this weeks beauty Rocky Grate who I had the pleasure of meeting during Full Figured Fashion Week, which is were the idea for the change came about.

For those that are new to Full Figure Plus the plus size beauty of the week segment started over a year ago with a video project aimed at celebrating plus size women from around the world.  From that initial video grew the weekly segment that features one curvy diva each week.  To date over 50 ladies from all walks of life have been featured and enough submissions are on deck to allow a different beauty to be featured on a weekly basis through Spring 2010!

1. Photos of plus size ladies size 16 and up are accepted
2. All races are encouraged to submit photos
3. Full body photos get preferential treatment over head shots
4. Photos that are to small will be rejected automatically
5. No nudity
6. Lingerie is fine as long as it is done tastefully

To recap the changes to the submission process again.  Ladies when you submit your photos to beautyoftheweek@fullfigureplus.com make sure that you include current contact information in the form of a website or email address.  Be sure what ever information you submit links to an account that you actually check on a semi-regular basis.  Thanks again for everyone that has submitted photos.

Remember you DO NOT have to be a full time or professional model to be featured the entire point is to celebrate you the curvy diva size 16 and up.  This is the Full Figure Plus way of letting your voice be heard through photography.
