I am a guy so I do not understand the fascination you ladies have with borrowing our clothes. Though I may not understand it because I am not wired that way I do understand how clothes for your can easily be adapted to suit your needs. The borrowed from the boyfriend look is hot this season if you are not already on this style below are a few ideas from plus-size fashion merchant Torrid.

Showing my age the borrowed boyfriend look reminds me of the way girls dressed during the 80’s so does this mean I have an eye for trends or that I am now my parents in being old enough to remember previous trends in fashion?

I picked up on that shirt, too, for a post I have scheduled on asymmetric looks!

As to the men’s look, I do like to mix in traditional men’s pieces with very feminine/lacy stuff. It’s about visual contrast, for me.

Glenn, Hopefully this eases your fascination of why woman wear men’s clothing! I have been “borrowing” men shirts for years. Why? Men shirts are tailored and fit a woman’s curves! There’s nothing like a crisp tailored white shirt also a man’s blazer! Perfectly tailored! Attention to detail has always been given to men suits for years. No padded shoulders. Men have strong shoulders, and on a woman, the stronger the shoulder , the smaller the waist will appear! Also love a Fruit of the Loom tank, aka beater! As for jeans, if you have a lot of curves, men pants are a no go! They just don’t fit right since, men have very little hips!

P.S. Glenn, I wrote you a response on Divaglamplus blog about the short jackets. When you get a chance read it.
