Plus size fashions in national publications

Over the past few weeks I have been seeing more and more commercials for plus size clothing. In the past that was something I never saw. One of the merchants that I mentioned a few days ago Kiyonna, was recently featured in Jan 8th US Weekly Magazine (issue 621, page 80).

The item that you see listed below was the item feature in the issue. Seeing things like this and television commercials for Lane Bryant are just a few of the steps that are being taken but the national media to finally recognize plus size fashion and the stores that cater to plus sizes.

From: Kiyonna KlothingThough the number of commercials and magazine spots are still low, its a beginning and a foundation to build upon.  Back last month in my 11 reasons why 2007 will be the year for plus size fashion post I didn’t mention traditional media as a starting point for the movement but it looks like thats where it will begin and stores like Kiyonna will benefit from it.
