Tools needed to find plus size content online

Normally I don’t get to technical in my writing, but since I know that there are still a few people that are new to blogging I find that sharing some of the tools that I use to bring you the content I do can be helpful. Some of these I have been using since day one others are new. Overall they are good tools to use in order to find quality content dealing with plus size fashion or anything else.

Google - There are several tools to be used by Google. The first is Google itself. Putting in a question about your topic brings back sites related to your keyword. Yahoo and MSN will also give you results but in my opinion they are not as comprehnsive as Google is. You can go a step further and sign up for a Google account that way you will have access to the other tools in the Google arsenal:

Gmail - Fast, searchable email with less spam

Alerts - Get email updates on the topics of your choice.  ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO THE LEFT TO GET UPDATES FROM FULL FIGURE PLUS.

Blog Search - Find blogs on your favorite topics

Google Reader - Use Google’s web-based feed reader to keep track of your favorite web sites.  If you already have a favorite news reader and haven’t subscribed click on the orange feed button.  Learn more about feeds here

Google News - Get personalized news from around the world on any topic

It would be safe to say that about 95% of all the content that I get comes via my account with Google. There are other other ways to find the information that you need such as having an account with Technorati, Bloglines, Rojo, or my new favorite StumbleUpon.

Basically with StumbleUpon you install there toolbar and edit your preferences to the things that your interested in and click the Stumble! button on the toolbar. From there you begin to navigate websites and blogs based on your interests where you can give the thumbs up or thumbs down to. In addition you can write reviews of the sites that you come across.

I joined yesterday and spent about two hours stumbling on sites and was very impressed. I will be reviewing sites that I have already blogged about as well as some that are new to me. Even if your not interested in finding content for your blog its good way to find sites that you may not have found any other way.

Most of you already know that finding content online for plus sizes is hit and miss with regular search engine methods. These few tips help me bring the content that I write about daily. I hope that it helped you out. If you have any cool tools that you use I would love to hear about it.
