I have received several comments and emails about finding clothes for plus sizes.  While finding clothes for plus size men and women has gotten easier,  how the clothes actually fit is an obstacle that still needs to be overcome.

With a little planning and common sense any plus sizer can look fantastic in any item of clothing picked up of the rack.

1. Know your size.  Have a professional measure you to be certain.
2. Don’t be afraid of price tags.  You get what you pay for.
3. If it does not fit right buy it anyway and have the item altered.
4. Shop for your particular body shape.
5. Make sure there is no excess fabric in the thigh and rise (crotch) area.
6. Make sure there are no gaps between shirt button holes.
7. Wear the right size bra.  If you do not know your size have a professional measure you.  (Women Only)
8. Don’t wear a belt so tight that it is uncomfortable and alters the look of your pants.
9. One finger should be able to fit between your neck and collar when your shirt is fully buttoned.
10. For jackets and blazers try them on with your bulkest sweaters to ensure proper sizing.
