The one great thing about being a part of the plus community today is that there are fantastic individuals making a difference and getting notice in some circles that we just did not see in years past. Stephanie Penn-Danforth, Editor, Daily Venus Diva.com whom I have had a chance to meet and work with has formed a consumer panel at the fame South by Southwest Festival in Texas! How important is this? Well the plus industry is accounts for billions of dollars of sales and what better way to let the world know than at a festival like this one. I formed an awesome panel to represent the plus size consumer at the 2011 SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. The South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conferences & Festivals offer the unique convergence of original music, independent films, and emerging technologies. In order to be considered as a finalist for the festival WE NEED YOUR VOTE!

History was made this past weekend when MTV crowned Gaby Gregg at their FIRST TJ (Twitter Jock). Gaby is also the Founder of the popular blog Young, Fat and Fabulous. Not only did Gabi win the hearts of MTV viewers worldwide, but her Curvy sisters rallied behind her in record numbers.
