Why more plus size bloggers are needed

I have been blogging for quite some time now and I have enjoyed everything that I have accomplished in a niche’ that is very challenging but very rewarding.  Sometimes I think that as a man that I am fighting an uphill battle blogging in an area that is mostly thought of for women.  Just when I think that I’m not making any progress I get an email from a reader that lets me know that the words that I write daily are helping someone.

Lately I have been concentrating more of my efforts on Full Figure Plus and on my travel blog. My lingerie blog is in need of a serious overhaul and I am working on that not sure when I will prelaunch it, but back to the subject at hand.  For the most part when I come across blogs that use plus size as there chosen niche’ they deal mainly with size acceptance, dieting or just a personal journal.  When it comes to areas such as fashion, accessories, shoes, and everyday products I am still on the hunt.

There are plenty of websites that are out there and more opening up daily that are addressing the concerns of larger men and women but very few that are entering the blogsphere.  At least that I have seen, and I am on the hunt all the time for other bloggers like myself that I can collaborate with and send my blogging to the next level.

Just like the blogs that deal with technology, news, politics and religion there needs to be more blogs that champion the cause of plus size men and women, especially men.  There are more and more men of size in the world today, but when it comes down to it I just don’t see as much blatant discrimination for men as I do for women.

When companies like Google and Microsoft are paying special attention to bloggers and there needs and someone like Barbara Walters wants Rosie O’Donnell to stop blogging its obvious that blogging is a powerful information tool that can easily be combined with issues related to plus sizes individuals to get the word out in a big way.

Plus size bloggers you are needed and don’t let anyone tell you any different.  Even if you’re scared of writing and sharing your opinions do it anyway.  If you help even one person you will be successful.
