Regular readers of Full Figure Plus know that I have been looking to add plus size clothing stores to my list that of stores that cater to an international audience. Recently UK merchant Yoursclothing contacted me about letting others know about there website. Before I get into that I already love the fact that there is a Yoursclothing blog that is a part of the website, so two thumbs up on the blog!
On to the website review. Yours Clothing is the third largest independent specialist retailer of Plus Size clothing in the UK and with worldwide delivery they are rapidly increasing their customer base across Europe and America. The “shop now” and “shop by item” sections make it easy for you to locate exactly what you want. Initially when I clicked on a section and it only showed a few items I was confused but once I realized that each individual item opened up a page with the full selection of items offered it made better sense to me. “We believe ‘that fashion should be available to all women, regardless of size’ and are committed to making fashion that fits.” To bad more merchants don’t think like this, but I digress.
The prices are comparable to most of the other stores that I have reviewed over time and in a clever move to get shoppers from around the world there is a currency converter available allowing prices to be shown in British pounds, US dollars, and the Euro. Free shipping is offered as well but only on items that are shipped to the UK mainland. Maybe overtime it will include other areas as well. To give you an idea of the shipping and exchange rates, a dress that cost $56.00USD has a $30.00 delivery charge making it $86.00USD or £43.00. The actual amount paid will depend on the exchange rate of your bank. Not bad on the exchange if you ask me.
Another unique feature available to shoppers is the “shop by size” feature. When browsing through items clicking on your individual size refreshes the page to show items that are only in that size range. Another area that I was pleasantly surprised by while browsing was the lingerie area. Most websites of this type only go up to a 44DD and offer a limited style range. Yoursclothing offers bras up to size 46G in styles that include lace!
