Zaftique Enters the Bride Business with thier new Collection

Zaftique’s new Bridal Boutique makes them the new kid on the block as far as bridalwear for plus size women. With about 20 dresses in the collection for their launch I think they are headed in the right direction.
A little over a year ago the Lane Bryant Bridal Boutique debuted with 3 dresses and little more. Today they have a few more dresses but a lot more accessories than anything else. In that regard Zaftique has them beat.
The problem that I see is the style of the dresses that they do have. While I agree with something is better than nothing right now I think the designers have missed the mark. The dresses seem more casual than something I would envision for a wedding.
A few of the dresses had lace and some embroidery on them but for the most part I don’t think of them as bride wear. But then I am a man, I don’t have to wear the dresses so I could be off the mark but I don’t really think that I am.
Keeping in mind that Zaftique is not a bridal company makes up for the fact that the dresses are not the most ornate in look and style. That may be the main selling point. Elegance through simplicity. If that is the case then they are definitely on to something.
The best part about the dresses offered is that they are very affordable. With prices below 200 dollars that makes them very easy on the wallet.
Don’t be confused by the sizing on Zaftique. They have there own system. Starting at 00 and going to 6Z, is the equivalent of size 12-38. Keep that in mind when browsing through the dresses.
It’s good to see that another merchant has entered the arena of bridal wear for fuller figures. I am sure as time goes and they get more customer feedback there will be new and different styles to choose from.
